Victor Chang

Victor Chang has been with RSA Security since 1994 and has 20 years
experience in high technology, including product development, strategic
planning and general management. As vice president of RSA Security’s
Developer Solutions Division, Victor is responsible for engineering, program
management and product marketing for all of RSA’s developer security
products, which are utilized by more than 1000 companies worldwide, and works
to drive development and execution to deliver best-in-class developer
security software.
Before becoming vice president of the
Developer Solutions Division, Victor was vice president of engineering for
RSA Security’s Pacific Rim development centers, responsible for RSA BSAFE
encryption and RSA Keon Certificate Authority product lines. In this
position, Victor also successfully integrated Xcert engineering and its
certificate management technologies into RSA Security, and helped create
RSA’s Brisbane development center, where he successfully launched RSA BSAFE
security protocol product lines and embedded security offerings into global
markets.
Before joining RSA Security, Victor held
various senior management positions at Apple Computer, where he managed the
development of Apple’s collaboration software technologies. Prior to Apple,
Victor held a number of management and technical positions at Xerox, Intel,
and Tsunami Technologies.
Victor holds a BS in Electrical Engineering
from National Taiwan University and a MS in Computer Engineering from
Syracuse University.

Bhavani Thuraisingham started
her NSF program director position as an IPA on October 1, 2001. In addition
to her responsibilities in Information and Data Management at NSF, she is
also part of a team on setting directions for Bioinformatics and
Geoinformatics. Her home institution is the MITRE Corporation, where she is
chief scientist in data management in the Information Technology Directorate
in Bedford Massachusetts. Since joining MITRE in January 1989, she has held
various positions including lead and principal scientist and was also a
department head in data and information management. She led MITRE's research
program in data management as well as in evolvable interoperable information
systems, has supported a number of sponsors at MITRE including the Air Force,
Navy, Army, NSA, CIA and IRS, and has provided research directions in data
management and information security to various government programs. She is
the recipient of IEEE Computer Society's 1997 Technical Achievement Award for
outstanding and innovative research contributions to secure data management.
Dr. Thuraisingham received her
M.Sc. degree from the University of Bristol and the Ph.D. degree from the
University of Wales both in the United Kingdom. Prior to joining MITRE she
worked in the computer industry for over 5 years in Minneapolis first at
Control Data Corporation and later at Honeywell Inc. She has also served as
adjunct professor of computer science for over six years first at the
University of Minnesota and later at Boston University. Dr. Thuraisingham is
the recipient of the National 2001 Woman of Color Technology Research
Leadership Award, and has received a number of corporate awards at MITRE,
Honeywell and Control Data. She is a senior member of IEEE and is also a
member of ACM, The British Computer Society, IFIP 11.3, OMG real-time SIG and
AFCEA. She has served on the IEEE conferences and tutorials board, and
currently serves on the advisory committee in data management for IASTED. She
is a frequent keynote and featured speaker worldwide.

Devabhaktuni "Sri" Srikrishna

Sri has led the development of technology for FHP Wireless since its
inception. He specializes in high-performance routing and architecture for
communication systems.
Prior to founding FHP
Wireless, Sri led the development of the common network management software
interface for Sycamore Networks' optical transport and switching products. He
has co-authored research papers in parallel systems architecture, advanced
compiler design, and quantum computing. He has taught courses in software
engineering and mathematics and has received awards for his work in
mathematics.
Sri holds a M.S. (Electrical
Engineering and Computer Science) from MIT and a B.S. (Mathematics) from the
California Institute of Technology.

Matt Bishop

Matt Bishop serves on the executive committee
of the National Colloquium for Information System Security Education and on
the editorial board of the Journal of Computer Security. He has participated
in professional conference organization and given tutorials on UNIX security
and how to write secure programs at the recent SANS Workshop entitled Securing
the Modern University: Mission Impossible. A computer security
researcher, he is especially interested in vulnerabilities analysis, the
design of secure systems and software, network security, formal models of
access control, and user authentication. His research projects explore such
topics as the detection and prevention of security flaws in computer systems,
computer security research history, denial of service attacks in a networking
environment, and interactive distance learning. Bishop commented on the state
of education in computer security in his 1997 keynote address to the National
Colloquium on Information Systems Security Education, and at UC Davis he
currently chairs his department's Information Technology Committee. He is
also the University's outreach liaison for the USENIX Association.

Arthur B. Edmonds, Jr. is Senior Director of
Data Networking Technologies and member of the Technology Office of HITACHI Data Systems,
led by Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Hubert Yoshida.
Art has over 21 years experience in data processing, higher-speed networking, telecommunications,
the Internet as well as distributed and client/server computing technologies.
Previously, he served as Chief Technology Officer of a rate-based, eCommerce
applications-serving dot-com, which he co-founded, and an I.T. infrastructure solutions provider.
He has served in senior positions in Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Engineering
Management roles for such companies as Xerox Corporation, Wang Labs, GE
Aerospace and Sun Microsystems.
Mr. Edmonds' current focus is investigating emerging technologies in the storage
technology arena and extending data storage and acquisition over networks using Fibre
Channel technology and the Internet.
He is a founding member of the FastEthernet Alliance, former ATM Forum member and
past voting member in the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the
Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
In addition to his position as member of the Technology Office, Mr. Edmonds has
published a number of white papers on client/server performance methods, networking,
and reusable software modules. He has conducted numerous training sessions, briefings
and keynote speeches on higher speed networking including members of the Office of
Science & Technology at The White House.
Mr. Edmonds is a published author with the
International Thomson Computer Press. His book, "ATM Network Planning
and Implementation" (ISBN1-85032-894-3), is for network professionals
and CIOs who demand details on the practical implementation and integration
of Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) technology in their enterprise networking
environments. Mr. Edmonds holds a B.Sc., MA in Physics from the University of
California at Davis. He also holds a Ph.D. (a.b.d.) in Theoretical Solid
State Physics. He is also the recipient of the 1998 Piedmont, California
Council Boy Scouts of America Silver Beaver, the highest award bestowed on
volunteers for service at the Council level.

Meichun Hsu

Dr. Meichun Hsu is Vice President of Engineering at
Commerce One Inc. and is responsible for Commerce One platform engineering
and led the design and development efforts for the Commerce One 6.0 Platform.
Dr. Hsu has nearly 20 years of experience in leading-edge technology research
and product development
Prior to joining Commerce One in 2001, Hsu held positions
with Hewlett-Packard Company, A.T. Kearney, EDS, and Digital Equipment
Corporation. She has authored numerous publications about database systems,
transaction processing, workflow, business process management systems, and
data mining technologies, and, in September 2001, received the VLDB Ten-Year
Paper Award in recognition for her work in Long-Running Transactions,
published in 1991. Dr. Hsu was a member of Computer Science Faculty at Harvard
University, where she received the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa Teaching Award
in 1990. Dr. Hsu received a B.A. from National Taiwan University, an M.S.
from University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and a Ph.D. in Management
Information Systems from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Symon Chang

Symon Chang is a Security Architect and a Technical Lead
at Commerce One and is responsible for developing security solutions for
Commerce One's Collaborative Web Services platform. He has over 20 years of
high technology development and management experience.
Prior to joining Commerce One in 1999, Chang
was the Chief Architect and a key member of the founding engineering team of
Internet Image Inc. (acquired by Intraware), a leader in providing services
to information technology professionals via the Internet. While at Internet
Image, Chang successfully architect the system and led the engineering team
in bringing the company’s first product to market. He also held positions
with Bank of America, and taught at Golden Gate University and National
University. Mr. Chang is a columnist for computer magazines in Taiwan. He has
published several books, and hundreds of technical articles in Taiwan.
Currently, Symon Chang is the Author for the Web Services Security Column on
Infosec Magazine in Taiwan. Mr. Chang He received his MBA Degree from Golden
Gate University, and M.S. Degree from San Jose State University.

Lee Tien

Lee Tien is a Senior Staff Attorney with the Electronic Frontier Foundation,
specializing in free speech law, including intersections with intellectual property law
and privacy law. Before joining EFF, Lee was a sole practitioner specializing in Freedom
of Information Act (FOIA) litigation.
Mr. Tien has published articles on children's sexuality and information technology, anonymity,
surveillance, and the First Amendment status of publishing computer software.
Lee received his undergraduate degree in psychology from Stanford University,
where he was very active in journalism at the Stanford Daily.
After working as a news reporter at the Tacoma News Tribune for a year,
Lee went to law school at Boalt Hall, University of California at Berkeley.
Lee also did graduate work in the Program in Jurisprudence and Social Policy at UC-Berkeley.
